Fostering legal excellence and community trust in Indian River County through accessible services, public programs, and a commitment to community care.

Welcome To
Indian River County Bar Association

The Indian River County Bar Association is dedicated to supporting both the legal community and the residents of Indian River County. Through regular membership meetings, continuing education programs, and a Lawyer Referral Service, we encourage professionalism and the sharing of knowledge among our members. Our initiatives include a Speakers’ Bureau, pro bono programs to ensure legal support for low-income residents, and partnerships with the judiciary and Clerk of Court to enhance the local legal system. Each year, we celebrate Law Week and host public education programs to help connect our community with valuable legal insights and services.

For the residents of Indian River County, we offer accessible programs like “Ask a Lawyer,” where individuals can receive free legal guidance. Our association’s goals are to serve the public by promoting fairness, improving the public perception of attorneys, and creating opportunities for community service. Whether you’re looking to join our association, find an attorney, or simply learn more about our services, we are here to support you in navigating the legal landscape of Indian River County.

Letter from the President

I am pleased to share a preview of what you can expect out of your Indian River County Bar Association membership over the upcoming year.

Foremost, in what I hope you agree is an exciting announcement, we have partnered with Vero Beach Country Club to provide a regular venue for our lunch meetings to be held on the second Friday of most months through the end of 2026.

In our ongoing commitment to delivering value to our members, we will be providing CLE credit at a minimum of three upcoming events, at no additional cost to you. Other months will feature engaging speakers who will present on topics relevant to your practice and our community.

This year’s annual Holiday Party will take place at beautiful Grand Harbor. Those familiar know this event offers a chance to unwind, socialize, and celebrate the season with your fellow bar members and their guests, dinner and drinks included.

During law week in May 2026 you can look forward to our popular BigShots with the Big Shots event, which offers a unique opportunity for networking between our local judges and fellow seasoned practitioners.

Soon thereafter will be the annual Jawbones vs. Sawbones softball game, a matchup pitting the lawyers and doctors of Indian River County against one another in a contest to benefit local charitable organizations.

Your membership will also include admission and drink tickets at two happy hour events in October 2025 and February 2026.

You can find a schedule of all these events on our newly redesigned website, IRCBA.org. There you can apply for or renew your membership, add yourself to our attorney directory, and stay updated on all matters related to our organization.

Be on the lookout for emailed reminders before each meeting with instructions to RSVP so we can ensure accurate catering and seating arrangements.

If you are a prospective member considering joining for the first time, feel free to reach out to me directly to discuss any questions. The same goes for existing members who have any input or helpful suggestions to improve our member experience.

I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events.

Sincerely,
Jesse Larsen

President, Indian River County Bar Association
